Why Cant the Swagman Titan 2 Bike Rack Be Used On a 5th Wheel Trailer
Question:
Yesterday I ordered a bike rack Item # S63400 Swagman Titan 2 Bike Rack for 1-1/4inch and 2inch Hitches - Tiltinginch to use with my Dodge Ram 2500 pick-up truck and also with my 5th wheel. When looking at my order again today, I noticed that on your website that it states that will not fit a 5th wheel. Is there a reason why it will not fit my 2inch receiver installed on the back of my 5th wheel? Otherwise it my be useless for me since I would have to get a additional bike rack to fit my 5th wheel. Any suggestions? Thanks!

The Swagman Titan 2 Bike Rack part # S63400 is not rated for use on a trailer because the ride at the back of a trailer is extremely rough due to the extended distance from the rear axle therefore the bike rack will be subjected to much harsher conditions. The Swagman Titan 2 Bike Rack is simply not rated for this additional stress which is why it is not approved for use on a trailer.
The best option for a bike rack rated for use on a trailer is the Swagman Dispatch 2 Bike Platform Rack part # S44FR.
