Troubleshooting Brake Controller Where Screen is Blank and Stopped Working

Question:

Does that use the same hook up or would I have to re wire everything

Most likely you blew a fuse if the brake controller screen one day stopped working. But that also depends on how the controller was installed. Basically the black wire of the brake controller needs to have 12 volts ran to it and the white needs to ground properly. If you can verify that and the controller still doesn't work though that would indicate the controller is bad. If it's a Curt Venturer # C74VV like what you referenced then I'd most likely think it's a bad controller as these are known for not being reliable. The Brake EVN # TK63VR would be a great replacement as this is a proportional option that's much more reliable.

Curt and Draw Tite don't share the same connections so you could cut and splice everything color for color or you could go with the new harness # 22292 since you have a 2018 Ford F-150.
