To determine if the Swagman Trailhead 2 bike rack will fit on your RAV4, you will need to know the distance between the hitch pin hole in your receiver and the furthest rearward part of the spare tire, as shown in the photo and the linked FAQ article I provided. This distance is typically 6-8 inches.

Since the Trailhead measures 11 inches from the hitch pin hole to the closest upright portion of the rack, you should have plenty of clearance, but I would still recommend doing a quick measurement to be sure.

If you'll be transporting women's bikes or bikes with sharply-angled top tubes, you might also consider a frame adapter bar like part # 64005. The bar spans the distance between the handlebar gooseneck and the seat post, which provides a secondary attachment point for the bike rack. This allows the bike to be carried level, which maximizes ground clearance. I'll link you to a video showing how the adapter bar works.
