The B&W Companion Sliding 5th wheel hitch you'd looked at, part # BWRVK3670 is a great product. It's the hitch we recommend most often for good reason. B&W hitches are manufactured in the USA, and feature a 1 inch thick jaw that holds the trailer king pin super-tight. This leads to an excellent ride with very little clatter and bang. The round slider bars allow the hitch to slide from the towing to the low speed maneuvering position very smoothly with no binding. The hitch is height adjustable from 17-19 inches.
Another excellent choice is the Demco Hijacker Autoslide, part # DM8550024 for an 18K capacity or # DM8550038 for a 21K capacity, which would also work very well for you. The jaw isn't as thick, but it's one piece that wraps around the jaw, holding it just as tightly for a very similar ride quality as the Companion mentioned above. This hitch would sit a little lower in the bed than the Companion, with 3 height adjustments at 15-1/2, 16-3/4, and 18-1/4 inches. The big feature of this hitch is that it slides automatically. As you begin a turn, the hitch head smoothly slides its way rearward offering the clearance to the cab that you need to prevent anything from being crunched.
If the fact that the Hijacker Autoslide sits in the bed a little lower doesn't cause a problem, it would be my choice due to the convenience of not needing to get out of the truck twice each time you use the slider. If you need the extra height provided by the B&W Companion, it would serve you equally as well. If you take a look at the product reviews for each product, you can see that both are extremely highly rated by our customers.
If you don't already have a 7-way trailer connector installed in your truck bed, you can install one using part # 50-97-410-010.
