Will the Tow Ready 4 Pole to 5 Pole Adapter Work on a 2008 Ford Edge

As long as your 2008 Ford Edge has a 4-flat trailer connector already installed, then yes, you can use the Tow Ready 4 Pole to 5 Pole Adapter, # 20036. The additional blue wire will simply need to be spliced into the vehicles reverse light circuit. You can use the provided quick splice or any other splicing method that you prefer.

You will need to use a circuit tester like part # PTW2993 to test for the reverse light circuit behind your taillight assembly to ensure you are splicing the blue wire to the correct circuit. The help video that I attached should give you an idea on how to install this adapter.

We also recommend using the Mounting Bracket, # tr20046, to secure the 5-way flat connector to the back of your vehicle.
