Recommended Reasonably Priced Sliding 5th Wheel Hitch for 2020 Ford F250
Question:
My 2020 Ford F-250 has the factory tow-prep package. I need a sliding hitch, which do you recommend? I really like the B&W Companion. but not the price.

If you want the ultimate in convenience that would allow you to negotiate slow speed maneuvering in tight quarters without needing to unlock the slider manually, the Demco Hijacker Autoslide, part # DM8550024 would be an excellent choice. As you begin the turn, the hitch automatically slides rearward for plenty of clearance between the front of the 5th wheel and the rear of the truck cab. As the turn is completed, the hitch moves back into position. All completely automatic.
The Autoslide is fairly expensive, if you don't think the convenience added is worth blowing your budget over a less expensive alternative like the # C16530-16020 would work well for you. The Curt slider is manually operated, but the round slider tubes provide smooth operation that allow you to move the hitch in just a moment or two with no need to worry about anything binding up.
Either hitch drops directly into the factory pucks, and once some some initial fine tuning is done installation is super-easy.
To install a 7-way in the truck bed, use # DM8555002. I've linked to some installation videos you might find helpful.
