Recommended Wiring Solution for Flat Towing 2020 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited
Question:
I've chosen a tow bar, base plates and everything else needed to tow my 2020 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited, but I'm not sure which wiring setup to use. My buddy uses the magnetic mounts, but I'm not sure how they'd mount to the soft top on my Wrangler? What would you recommend?

There is an available EZ mount lamp system that you could close in the tailgate of your Wrangler Unlimited, part # EZT20B. This is basically the same setup as a magnetic mount, without the magnets. This is the kind of system that many folks start out with, because they like the simplicity of operation and how easy it is to install. However, many find they don't like the cords flapping in the wind or the time it takes to thread the wiring through the interior of the vehicle each time they flat tow (in order to avoid that infernal flapping..). For these reasons, many folks that start out with a magnetic or externally wired setup will upgrade after living with (and being less than thrilled with) the lamp system for awhile.
Our best seller is a Diode system like the # RM-15267. This system will use diodes that tap into the taillight wiring harnesses, so it's not a plug and play option but once it's installed it takes zero time to set up. Simply plug the umbilical into the motorhome, plug the other end into the connector installed on the front of the Jeep, and Bam, you're done and ready to go.
I've linked you to the installation video so you can look it over.
