It is possible to move your blind spot mirror like the CIPA Wedge-Shaped, Stick-On HotSpot Mirror - 1-1/2" x 2" - Convex part # CM49002. It will however be hard to remove it with out damaging the adhesive on the back side of it. Your idea of using the hairdryer is the best way to soften the adhesive you'll then pull out on it gently and allow the adhesive to separate from the mirror face. I give it a 50/50 chance of working. If it fails to work for you remove the old adhesive from both the mirror and blind spot mirror and replace it with a good quality double sided foam adhesive tape from your parts store and you'll be back up and running.
