No Power Going to Compressor From Relay on Firestone Level Command II on 2010 Dodge Ram

Question:

Hello.. I had ordered this F2219 controler and ride rite air bags for you guys a little while ago... I just had time this weekend to install them and to my surprise the system would not fire up... Compressor wouldnt fire at all... So after checking all my connections I put my ohm meter on some of the connections and determined there was no power from the relay to the compressor on the orange wire... Can I just replace this relay or would the whole harness have to be replaced... thanks for your time...

There are a few things you can check to see why you are not getting power from your relay to your compressor. The first and easiest thing to check is to make sure you have a good ground connection from your gauge. If the ground wire is not attached to a suitable surface, then that could prevent power from running through the gauge.

The next thing to check would be that the gauge is wired correctly. There should be 6 wires on the back of the gauge 4 white wires and 2 black wires. The 4 white wires should be taped of in bundles of two. You will use one black wire and two white wires for ground. The other two white wires will be connected to the white wire running to the relay and the final black wire will run to the power wire from either your running light circuit or dashboard illumination circuit.

If the ground connections and power wiring on the gauge looks correct, then you probably just have a bad relay.
