Firestone or Air Lift Air Bag Kit Recommendation for 2001 Ford F-250
Question:
Hello, I have determined I need either a firestone 2550 or an airlift 88390. 2001 f350 Is one better quality , better performance, easier installation, than another. I notice an internal bumper in airlift, is that a consideration? Thanks for your help.

For your 2001 Ford F-350 the air bag kit I recommend is the Firestone part # F2550. The Firestone bags are constructed of 4 layers of rubber compared to the 2 layers of the Air Lift springs. The Firestone bags also use a crimp rolled seal to keep the bags anchored compared to the Air Lift springs that use a metal band. The jounce bumper in general isn't needed. It would potentially add harshness to the unloaded ride quality also.
For a compressor kit then the heavy duty part # F2097 will make inflating the bags and maintaining them very easy. The compressor will inflate faster than standard compressors and the gauge inside the vehicle will allow you to monitor and inflate them from inside the vehicle as well.
