Most Amount of Drop That Can Be Had with Equal-i-zer Weight Distribution System for 2-1/2 Inch Hitch
Question:
I wanting to purchase a equalizer 4 hitch but need a shandy for a 2.5inch reciever with 9inch of drop. Equalizer does not offer this. Is there another shank i can purchase that will work with the equalizer?

Expert Reply:
The most amount of drop we offer in a weight distribution shank with 2-1/2" stinger is 9-1/4", the Curt Weight Distribution Shank part # C17132 which can be used with an Equal-i-zer Weight Distribution System like part # EQ37141ET. If you need a higher capacity, the Equal-i-zer Weight Distribution System part # EQ64FR is available but not without the shank so you would just have to swap them out.
Please note, rise/drop is measured from the ground to the top inside edge of the receiver tube and then from the ground to the bottom of the trailer coupler while the trailer is level.
