Timbren Rear Suspension Enhancement Recommendation for a 2012 Ford F-250 Super Duty 4x4 Long Bed
Question:
For a 2012 Ford F250 Super Duty 4 x 4 w/ long box. There is an approximately quarter moon peg that the rear axle factory mounted bumper appears to contact when some weight is loaded in the PU bed. Will this peg be stout enough to absorb the continual contact of the Timbren installation, and will the Timbren spring be damaged over time by this contact? I will be hauling an approximately 2,500 lb camper in the PU a few times a year, thus am thinking the FRTT350F would be the better choice rather than the Timbren FR250SDG. Thank you for your advice.

Adding the Timbren suspension enhancement springs to your 2012 Ford F-250 Super Duty 4x4 is a great way to help support your camper and other loads that you may carry throughout the year.
The peg style casting on your rear axle that you are referring to will withstand the contact of the Timbren suspension systems. Timbren designed their rubber springs to contact that peg and in the instruction manual that I have attached, they state not to remove the peg.
The Timbren rear suspension enhancement system that I recommend for your truck is # TFR250SDG. This system will provide more enough support for your camper and has a weight capacity of 6,000 lbs, which is most likely well over the weight capacity of your truck bed. Keep in mind that adding a rear suspension enhancement system will not increase the weight capacity of your truck so you should not exceed the weight capacity of your truck bed.
The Timbren Rear Suspension Enhancement Systems, # TFRTT350F, that you referenced is primarily designed for service vehicles that will consistently haul extremely heavy loads. The weight capacity of this system is 12,000 lbs which will be overkill for what your truck needs and there are no added no benefits for having a higher weight capacity on your truck.
