The answer to this is going to depend on how high up your 2017 Chevy Silverado 3500's bed rails go; I could not find that information from Chevy so you will want to take a quick measurement. The B&W Companion OEM 5th Wheel Hitch w/ Slider for Chevy/GMC Towing Prep Package # BWRVK3770 will sit between 17" and 19" while the Pace Edwards Switchblade Retractable Hard Tonneau Cover # 311-SWC95A17 a couple inches below the rails. Additionally, the canister of the Switchblade may interfere with the latch opening with the Companion so while a solid tonneau, I recommend going a different direction.
The best option is the BAK Revolver X4s Hard Tonneau Cover # BAK52VR which sits about even with your bed rails and is a hard tonneau that rolls up so you can use it along with a 5th wheel hitch just like you would be able to with a retractable tonneau.
