Protechtor Propane Detector Replacement for RV Where Light Stays On

Question:

Do I need to change my protechtor? It’s staying solid red? We have a 2009 fleetwood wilderness

Your ProTECHtor is pretty old at this point and if it's constantly showing a red alarm light after resetting and there is no gas leaks then it is bad and would need to be replaced. Typically these need replacing at around 7 years. The Atwood RV Carbon Monoxide and Propane Gas Detector part # AT36681 will be an excellent replacement for the ProTECHtor LP Gas Detector. The Atwood RV Carbon Monoxide and Propane Gas Detector has a seven year life span which is pretty standard.
