Would Lippert Ground Control for Travel Trailer Cause Ground Clearance Issues

Question:

I am building a cargo trailer conversion as a toy hauler and the TT self leveling kits sounds like it could be what I’ve been looking for. My concern is how far does the leveling jacks extend under the frame when in the raised position. I’m concerned ground clearance may be an issue on a cargo trailer.

When the Electric Ground Control TT Automatic 5-Point Travel Trailer Leveling System # LC672136 is installed on a trailer and in the fully retracted position it will add 5 inches to the bottom of your trailer frame. So you'd lose right at 5 inches of ground clearance where installed. Typically these don't cause ground clearance issues since they don't install at the very rear of the trailer which is normally where the ground clearance interference would usually be due to the longer distance between that area and the axles. Normally ground clearance problems come from elevation changes where the rear of the trailer ends up swinging pretty low.
