We have great trailer hitch options for your 2020 Chevy Colorado, but all of them would be considered Class III. The hitch I'd recommend is the Curt # C13176 as it's made in the USA, has a hidden crosstube which makes it a bit less visible, and has plenty of towing capacity at 8,000 lbs trailer weight. I attached an install video for this hitch for you to check out as well.

I just bought a new V-6 Chevy Colorado WT w/ trailering pkg. W/2" rec. It is rated for 7,000 # tow capacity. I am buying a camper w/ empty wt. Of 5,640# and hitch wt. of 728#. I am thinking of ordering the Husky Centerline Hitch #HT32218. Do you think this will be too stiff of a tow? What proportional brake controller would you recommend? Thanks

The Husky Center Line # HT32218 will really work out pretty well for this setup once you actually factor in loaded cargo stored behind the rear axle of your Colorado and the actual loaded weight of the trailer, which will almost definitely bump your total tongue weight over 800 pounds and into this system's capacity range. For a proportional brake controller it's extremely hard to beat the Tekonsha Prodigy P3 # 90195.
