Will the Swagman Chinook 2 Bike Platform Rack Fit on a 2020 Hyundai Santa Fe?
Question:
Is the Swagman Chinook 2 Bike Platform Rack fully compatible with a 2020 Hyundai Santa Fe Limited that has the factory installed 2inch trailer hitch? I will use the bike rack with 2 bikes and am concerned about clearance between the bikes and the back of the vehicle. Your videos show the Swagman with 16 vehicles but not a Hyundai Santa Fe.

The best way to determine whether a bike rack that we haven't tested on a specific vehicle will be a good fit is by determining the distance from the hitch pin hole on your receiver to the edge of your bumper. Once you know this number, you'll be able to compare it to the length of the shanks on different hitch mounted bike racks and see how much clearance each rack has from your vehicle.
For example, the Curt # C13195 hitch that is a fit on the 2020 Hyundai Santa Fe, has 4-1/4" from the center of the hitch pin hole to the edge of the bumper.
The Swagman Chinook # S64683 has 6" from the center of the hitch pin hole to the closest point of the folded up rack and 12-1/2" from the hitch pin hole to the closest point of the rack when it is folded down and loaded with bikes. Using the measurement on the Curt # C13195, the Swagman is going to be a fit on your 2020 Hyundai Santa Fe and unless you have unusually long handlebars, you won't get any parts of the bikes touching the rear of your vehicle (since your bumper sticks out a few inches from where your rear hatch is, you'll likely have another 3" or 4"-which can be taken should be taken into consideration when looking for handlebar contact).
You'll want to measure the distance from the hitch pin hole on your factory hitch to the edge of your bumper and make sure that it is not more than 5-1/2" to be safe. As long as the hitch pin hole is under 5-1/2", the Swagman Chinook will be a perfect fit. If you measure and determine that the hitch sits further back on your vehicle than the Curt hitch, please let me know what the measurement you have is and I can recommend an alternate rack that will work with your vehicle/hitch combination.
