Can the B&W Companion 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch Be Used With Above Bed Base Rails

Can I swap my bandw companion from Chevy pucks to another truck with universal rails?

The B&W Companion 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch is offered in two different mounting configurations, the OEM which is for factory installed pucks and the Gooseneck-to-5th-Wheel which is for the B&W Turnoverball Gooseneck Hitch. Therefore, there is no way to install either of the B&W Companion 5th Wheel Trailer Hitches on above bed base rails. However, you could install the B&W Turnoverball Gooseneck Hitch and then obtain the Replacement Base for B&W Companion 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch part # BWRVB3500 or the Replacement Slider Base for B&W Companion Slider 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch part # BWRVB3405 so you can reuse the head from the B&W Companion 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch but that is your only option.
If you let me know the year, make, and model of the truck I can see if a B&W Turnoverball Gooseneck Hitch is available. Please note, B&W offers the B&W Patriot 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch part # BWRVK3270, part # BWRVK3200, or part # BWRVK3255 for above bed base rails.
