Installation of Curt Trailer Hitch on 2020 Subaru Outback
Question:
Couple questions about the Curt hitch for 2020 Subaru Outback. Can you confirm that there isn't any drilling needed to install the hitch? Also, is there any type of noticeable trimming of the fascia or any other pieces? What tools are needed for this?

There is absolutely no drilling at all needed to install the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver # C67JR on your 2020 Subaru Outback; installing the hitch will use a combination of your Subaru's existing hardware and the included bolts.
In regards to trimming, there is a small section completely underneath your Outback (and totally unnoticeable) that needs to be trimmed, as you can see in the accompanying photo which I cut out from the linked installation instructions. The tools you need are also shown:
- 14mm and 17mm Socket
- Ratchet
- Tape Measure
- Torque Wrench
- Shears
- Tape
The Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver # C67JR has a 4,000 lb towing capacity, 600 lb tongue weight capacity, and a concealed crosstube which is great because it helps your Outback maintain its look.
