Does Rhino-Rack Aero Bar Roof Rack for Camper Shells Use Butyl Patches
Question:
Hi there, in the video, the instructor doesnt use butyl patches or o-rings for the bolts. Is the casket on the rail enough for no leaks? Thanks.

Butyl patches are in fact used with the Rhino-Rack Aero Bar Roof Rack for Camper Shells - Track Mount - Black - Standard - 59" Long # Y02-490B. They even come with the rack for the installation, as you can see by the linked install instructions and the cut out of the instructions I provided. You will want to use these patches as you can see in step 6 of the directions.
