Rhino-Rack Pioneer Platform Rack for Vortex Crossbars on Bed of 2019 Toyota Tundra
Question:
I just found out that I will be getting a 60 x 56 pioneer platform from rhino rack. I have the rhino rack vortex cross bars on my truck now, what will I need to attach it to the crossbars? Or will the platform come with mounting equipment ? Thanks 2019 Toyota Tundra - it has the rhino rack vortex cross bars that go over the retrax tonue cover that is over the bed of the truck.

The 60" x 56" Rhino-Rack Pioneer Platform # RR42113BF actually isn't designed to attach to roof rack crossbars, but instead mounts directly to a vehicle-specific fit kit. There isn't a separate kit available that would allow you to mount this particular size Pioneer Platform to the Vortex Crossbars on your Retrax tonneau cover.
I reached out to Rhino-Rack and the only way to mount this platform on your Tundra will be to install either the Backbone # RRRTTB2 if you have the CrewMax or the Backbone # RRRTTB3 if you have the Double Cab onto the cab's roof. This is what will provide support and attachment to the Platform itself.
Otherwise your best option is with a Universal Pioneer Platform like the 58" x 47" # RR42115BF that's designed to attach to your Vortex Crossbars, either by clamping around them or using the integrated channels. This is the only way to use a Pioneer Platform with the crossbars over your truck bed. The needed mounting hardware to accomplish this is included.
