Installing Redarc Trailer Brake Controller on 2019 Toyota 4Runner Using Tekonsha Plug-In Adapter
Question:
Hi. I plan on installing the Redarc Tow Pro elite brake controller on my 2019 Toyota 4Runner. Can I use the plug in harness from Tekonsha to install the controller to the factory plug on the truck? Or what options do I have for this since Redarc doesn't make the harnesses? Thanks.

You can absolutely install the Redarc Tow-Pro Elite Trailer Brake Controller # RED44FR on your 2019 Toyota Tacoma using the Tekonsha Plug-In Harness # 3041-P. The vehicle end of the harness will plug right into the factory port behind the dash of your Tacoma, but since the controller end won't match up to the Redarc unit, you will just need to cut off the plug and hardwire it to the controller's pigtail.
The wiring from the Plug-In Harness matches up color by color to the Tow Pro's pigtail wiring. The additional white wire coming from the Plug-In Harness will also need to be secured to a clean metal surface for ground.
I have attached an installation video below that you can also use for reference.
