Can Karrier 20575R-15 Tires be Mounted on Dextar 15 by 6 Inch Rim
Question:
I want to mount your Kenda ST205/75R15 radial tire AM10244 onto your Dexstar 15inch x 6inch black rim AM20504. But if I look at a similar complete wheel and tire like AM32395 it describes it as being on a 5-1/2inch rim. Will my tire and rim combo work? The Dexstar wheel looks like the black ones on my trailer.

The ST205/75R15 Karrier tire you referenced, # AM10244 can be successfully mounted to 15 inch diameter rims ranging from 5 to 6-1/2 inches wide, with 5-1/2 inches being the ideal.
Since the width of the # AM20504 wheel is only 1/2 inch more than the ideal for that tire, the wheel and tire should work just fine together. If the width difference was than 1 inch or more narrower, the tire beads being squeezed together could conceivably narrow the tire surface that contacts the pavement, leading to premature tire wear.
Unlike tires on passenger vehicles, trailer tires should be kept at the maximum pressure listed on the tire sidewall, which is 50 psi in the case of the AM10244 tire you referenced.
It is also very important that all tires and wheels on each axle be of a matching size.
