Question:

Is the Towing Capacity for 2015 GMC Terrain SLE 4cyl Same as 2017 GMC SLE 4cyl? Also, would all peripherals be the same as previous answer on the 2017 which was answered already?

I took a look at the online version of the owner's manual for your 2015 GMC Terrain and it looks like if you have the 4-cylinder then your max trailer weight is 1,500 lbs if the trailer has brakes, and then that's reduced to 1,000 lbs if the trailer doesn't have brakes. You are correct that the etrailer Trailer Hitch # e98865 and the Tekonsha T-One Wiring # 118494 are compatible with your 2015 model year. If you'd like to mount the 4-Way connector next to your hitch receiver, then you also need the mounting brackets # C57202 and # 18144.

To complete a towing setup you also need a ball mount kit. I recommend checking out Ball Mount Kit # 989900 because it includes two ball mounts, one with a 3/4” rise/2” drop and the other with a 2-3/4” rise/4” drop, a 1-7/8” hitch ball, a 2” hitch ball, and a pin and clip. You will want to refer to the attached ball mount article to ensure that this kit is correct for your towing application.

If you're trailer has brakes and you want to get the full 1,500 lb towing capacity out of your Terrain then you'll need to also install the Universal Wiring Kit # ETBC7 (with the bracket # C57202) along with a brake controller like the Prodigy P2 # 90885. I have attached an installation video of this wiring kit and controller on a 2015 Terrain for you to check out.
