Cushioned and Adjustable Ball Mount for 2020 Ford Expedition Towing Trailers up to 7.5k
Question:
Is this hitch a good safe solution for a 2020 Ford Expedition Plat pulling 5k/7.5k trailers? Trying to get a full list of premium parts to use for long term towing on a 2020 ford expedition platinum w/ heavy tow pkg 9200 rated tow, 1700lb payload. Targeting travel or dump trailers with fully loaded weights of 5k-7.5k lbs. Will probably average under 3500lbs most of the time.

The Gen-Y Torsion 2-Ball Mount w/ Stacked Receivers # 325-GH-1024 is a great and safe choice for a ball mount for your 2020 Ford Expedition. This has more capacity than you'll need, has the two more popular hitch ball sizes, is adjustable in height, and is cushioned so it'll give you a really great towing experience as well. Most report improved fuel mileage with these over standard ball mounts as well.
The other thing you'll want is a brake controller (if you don't have one already) to activate the trailer's brakes. The easiest to install and use is the Curt Echo Mobile part # C51180. Basically this just plugs into an active 7-way and once you sync it to your phone it's ready to go. This brake controller is proportional which means it senses the amount of deceleration your tow vehicle is applying and applies the trailer brakes in a relative way.
