Ladder Rack that Fits 2007 Chevy Silverado New Body with Movable Rear Crossbar

Does the rear crossbar come off easily in order to load taller items into the bed of the pickup?

I believe I have a great solution for you, but the rear crossbar of the Buyers Products ladder rack part # 3371501410 that you referenced was not designed to be easily removed. So a better option for your 2007 Chevy Silverado would be a TracRac Sliding Ladder rack that has the over cab extension like the part # TH43002XT-501EX. The rear bar can slide forward as needed to help with taller items like you mentioned.
If you have an 8 foot bed you'd instead want the part # TH43002XT-000EX, or 5-1/2 foot bed # TH43002XT-608EX.
