The trailer hitch I recommend for a 2020 Jeep Cherokee is the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver part # C13395. The Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver is a bolt-on fit that will not require any permanent modifications to the vehicle. The Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver also has a hidden design so only the required receiver tube portion will be shown once installed therefore you don't take anything away from the overall appearance of the vehicle. Please note, the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver is easy to install with no special tools required so you can do this yourself at home in your driveway with just a bit of time and patience. In order to complete your towing setup you will need a few other items. The Curt T-Connector Vehicle Wiring Harness part # C56406 will activate the trailer lights and the Ball Mount Kit part # 989900 will physically allow you to couple the trailer. Furthermore, if the trailer has brakes you will also need the 7-Way RV Upgrade Kit for Trailer Brake Controller Installation part # ETBC7L and the Curt Echo Mobile Trailer Brake Controller part # C51180. The Curt Echo is your best option because it requires no modifications to the vehicle and it is very easy to use for a first time user, more-so than most other options.
