On Board Converter To Use with AGM Batteries

Question:

I have a Inteli-Power PD9100 Converter which is used to charge my batteries as well as supply coach accessories. I am using AGM batteries and this charger isnt powerful enough to supply the 14.7 absorption needed for bulk phase charge. Is there a inverter designed for AGM batteries?

I recommend looking at the Go Power RV Converter and Smart Battery Charger # 34266912 which has a maximum output of 14.4v and is designed to work with AGM batteries. This is the most powerful converter and smart battery charger we have and it is rated much higher than the 13.6v max on the Progressive Dynamics 9100 series converters like the # PD9130.

Per the instructions (included) you will need to remove your existing converter, as it is not designed to work on conjunction with that system.

I have a 2007 Holiday Rambler travel trailer. the original converter was designed for marine batteries, I installed two six volt AGM batteries. The original converter is a TP3 SS Atwood 55 amp unit. It is not appropriate for newer AGM type batteries as it overcharges them. Will this 12V - 60 amp unit work well for me in order to solve that issue? The trailer usually uses 30 amp service, not 50. There are four wires that are used to install the original. How does this new unit install with a standard three prong plug? Is there tech service I could contact if I have install questions? Thank you.
