Can The ECU Module on the Firestone Air Command F3 Be Mounted in a Metal Tool Box?
Question:
Can ecu module be installed in side a metal tool box and still receive signal from remote? I have a service bed on truck with several spots inside a box that would work nice to keep it clean and dry Thanks

I spoke with my contact over at Firestone Industrial and the ECU module of the Air Command F3 Compressor System # F2581 and because the signal that the Air Command F3 could potentially be obstructed and/or weakened by placing it inside of a metal toolbox, this is not the recommended application and likely won't function correctly. They recommend that the ECU module is installed along the vehicle frame since it is designed to stand up to moisture, road chemicals, salt spray, and extreme temperatures.
