B&W Gooseneck Hitch to Replace OEM Gooseneck Hitch on a 2019 Ram 3500

Question:

I have the OEM gooseneck hitch on a 2019 Ram 3500 and I'm needing to tow a gooseneck trailer but I know I need some offset because the truck is a short bed. I'm not seeing that there is an offset for the OEM version so I'm considering replacing the pucks with the B&W gooseneck hitch so I can use the 4" offset. Is this possible and is there anything else that I'd need?

According to my research the OEM puck system on your 2019 Ram 3500 is just bolted on so you can definitely remove it and install the B&W Gooseneck Hitch # BWGNRK1320 which actually fits your pickup whether you have the long bed or the short bed.

This then allows you to utilize the 4" Offset Ball # BWGNXA4085 to give you a little extra trailer-to-cab clearance.

One other thing you might be interested in using is the Hitch Helper Installation Kit # BWGNXA8030 which helps hold the gooseneck hitch in place while you install the hardware. This is definitely not necessary but can come in real handy if you don't have someone to help you.

Attached is an installation video and a photo showing this B&W hitch installed on a 2019 Ram 2500 for you to reference.
