Troubleshooting No Tail Lights on 2019 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited When Being Flat Towed
Question:
Hi, We have installed the following: Base Plate RM521450 Tow Bar RM676 SMI Stay N Play Braking System 99251 Wiring RM15267 We also installed the brake light switch for the rear view mirror. This does NOT work either. All other lights work brake, turn signals, emergency flashers, side marker lights. We have no tail lights nor does the brake light switch light up. it is attached to the rear view mirror in the tow vehicle. Do you have any suggestions where we can begin to look? Installer is a licensed mechanic. Thank you,

If the tail lights on your 2019 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited aren't working when hooked up to the RV, it's worth it to first test the 7-Way connector on the RV to make sure this circuit is active. Use a circuit tester like # PTW2979 on the running lights pin to make sure it gets power when those lights are activated.
If there isn't power then the problem is actually on the RV side and the Jeep is good to go. If this is the case you would want to check for any related fuses (you can find their locations in the owner's manual) that might need to be replaced and inspect any wiring leading to that circuit that you can access for any frayed or damaged portions that need to be repaired.
If you did get power when testing the RV's 7-Way then you can focus all your attention on the Jeep. From here it's really just a matter of verifying the connections to the tail light circuits on the Jeep, making sure they are secure, properly grounded, and the wiring itself is all in good condition.
The Stop Light Switch # RM-751490 also not working is likely a separate issue. Make sure it's securely connected to the battery for power and that there aren't any loose connections.
If the installer is still having trouble locating and resolving these issues, please let me know and we can continue to troubleshoot.
