Using Optronics Hardware # LP52HP to Secure License Plate to Factory Flush Bracket on New Trailer

Question:

I bought a travel trailer with a flush mount license plate holder. No bolts or nuts came with the unit of course. Manufacturer said to use zip ties. Oh, brother! I hope this lp52hp will do the trick, So, this flat rectangular nut tucks under the lic plate bracket and is recessed enough into the bracket frame that the nut and screw wont touch the touch the fiberglass skin of the trailer? Correct? Or, is it wishful thinking that no metal or bolt will be touching the fiberglass wall the license trailer bracket is current resting flush against? what an idiotic design for a license plate holder in not having a rubber spacer between the fiberglass wall and the plate bracket to allow for most short screws and nuts to work Also, does the round washer go on top of the license plate? I assume that keeps the opposite side of the screw from going through the holder and hitting the skin of the trailer wall. Shouldnt a small lockwasher be used to keep screw from loosening up in the rectangular nut? Attached is an image, it seems hollow under the bracket touching the trailer skin so hope your lp52hp will work. Tried to unscrew the whole bracket off but it somehow the plastic is bonded to the trailer skin and wouldnt budge so siliconed up the screw holes and put screws back in holes and now trying you.

The Optronics Hardware Kit # LP52HP that you referenced is indeed the best option we have available for securing the license plate to the factory bracket on your new travel trailer. This kit is designed specifically for the Optronics brackets like their LED # LPL55CB, which has a really similar design to the one in the picture you attached.

I can't say for certain that the nut won't rub up against the surface of the trailer, but you can compare the depth of your bracket's mounting holes to the weld nut thickness (0.14") and thread length on the screw (0.35") to see how close it will get. I have attached an image with the dimensions listed as well.
