Can I Use Roadmaster Comfort Ride Shock Absorbers With Axle Above Leaf Springs
Question:
I have a 2017 Jayco Pinnacle. I also have a broken rear leaf spring on the drivers side. I see the videos with the springs above the axle. Will the system work with the springs under the axle??

The Roadmaster Comfort Ride Shock Absorbers for Tandem Axle Trailers part # RM-2450 can be used on trailer with the leaf springs above or below the axle. Since your leaf springs are below the axle you will want to support the trailer frame with jackstands without taking any weight off the tires when installing the shocks according to the installation instructions.
If your leaf spring is broken you will want to replace the leaf springs before installing the shocks. We always recommend to replace them in pairs because they can wear down and sag over time so you don't want to have one old longer leaf spring and one new shorter leaf spring. To replace the leaf spring you will need to know the capacity of your current leaf springs and the measurement from eye to eye of your old leaf spring. If you have a slipper spring you will need to measure eye to the highest slipper point. I have attached a FAQ article to you to take a look at and our selection of leaf springs available.
