Why is it a delay with my brakes after I put brake fluid in the pump

If the Dexter Brake Actuator is new and you are adding brake fluid for the first time or you are adding new brake fluid (not topping it off) then you will need to bleed the brakes because you most likely have a air bubble in the lines which is delaying your braking. Some of the Dexter actuators have a self priming pump which makes the process easier but I am not sure of which model you have. I have attached a link on bleeding the brakes.

You may also have a damaged brake line, it is a good idea to check all of the brake lines for damage if bleeding the brakes does not do the trick.
