Troubleshooting Tekonsha Voyager Brake Controller That isnt Functioning
Question:
Got one of these secondhand from another guy with a tundra like me with tow package. Plugged it in no lights coming on and not working. Is there anything I can test on the controller? Anywhere I can put 12 V two to see if the unit turns on correctly then I will know it is wiring from my truck

The LED should light up, whether or not a trailer is connected. If you're not getting a green light with a trailer connected, be sure to check the connector on the vehicle and the trailer. If they're corroded, it could prevent the controller from 'reading' the trailer. Without a trailer, the LED should glow red with the brake applied.
I'd recommend using a circuit tester like # PTW2993 on the black wire exiting the rear of the controller. If you have voltage on that wire, power is indeed reaching the controller. If power is reaching the controller, but you're not getting any voltage output on the blue wire with the manual brake slider on the controller activated, the controller is bad.
If voltage isn't reaching the controller on that black wire, I'd recommend rechecking the 12-volt power connection.
I've linked you to a help article that lists some more brake controller troubleshooting strategies.
