Question:
I have a 5x8 tilt with 2x6 flooring and 15 in tires, can you give me a rough estimate of its empty weight?

It's really hard to try and determine a trailer's weight without actually weighing it, but for a 5x8 tilt utility trailer you're likely looking at an empty weight of around 400 to 500 pounds, depending on various factors like steel rails, gate size, etc. With that being said I highly recommend verifying this by taking the trailer up to a local CAT scale if possible.
If you are concerned about towing weight you might also be interested in a tongue weight scale like the etrailer # e99044.
I have attached a short video review as well so you can see exactly how it works.
