Recommendation for Best Fifth Wheel Hitch for 2019 Ford F350 RWD Long Bed

I have a 2019 Ford F350 RWD with the 8 ft bed. I've used various fifth wheel hitches in the past, Reese, Valley and Husky. All have been disappointing in some regard. I'm looking for the best hitch available. Can you make a recommendation please? Thank you!

The exact hitch needed will depend on whether your 2019 Ford F350 has the factory tow prep package with the pucks in the bed or not.

When it comes to trouble-free performance, durability and ease of use, you can't go wrong with B&W 5th wheel hitches. When somebody asks for the best, that's where we point them. The B&W Companion offers massive 1 inch thick jaws that contact the king pin all the way around for a smooth rattle free ride. Not having full contact causes the jerking and banging known as chucking, which isn't fun. The cam-action latching handle and fully articulating hitch head make hitching and unhitching easy even when the terrain isn't perfectly flat. If your truck has the prep package with the pucks, use # BWRVK3300 for a 20K capacity or # BWRVK3305 for a 25K capacity hitch.

If you don't have the prep package, I'd recommend the # BWRVK3500-5W which uses the Turnover Ball # BWGNRK1116-5W gooseneck hitch as the mount. This combination would allow you to tow either Gooseneck or 5th wheel trailers weighing up to 20K.

You will have to go with a sliding hitch to allow the trailer to make tight turns. For a trailer 8 feet wide the only bed length that's going to allow 90 degree turns without a slider is a stationary hitch. That being said you have two options.…
