How To Wire Two 6 Volt Batteries On a Motorhome And Hook Up Inverter

Hi guys heres my problem. My rv has two 6 volt batteries wired in what I believe to be series. Battery 1 has negative jumped to positive on battery 2 and positive to a 250 volt fuse then onward to a series of connections. Battery 2 negative is jumped somewhere that I can not find. I assume that battery 2 negative goes into a network for switching from shore, generator and alternator. Where should my power inverter connect? I have tried connecting battery 1 positive and battery 2 negative with not very good results. I no longer have any lights or my fridge working. Do you think you can help with both issues? I have attached a photo for you on how a set of two six volt batteries should be wired on a motorhome. It does indeed sound like your batteries are wired correctly so I do not think you need to worry about this. The positive lead from battery one is going to be run to the inverter and the negative lead from battery two is going to be run to the chassis ground.
In regards to connecting a power inverter like the Go Power Industrial Pure Sine Wave Inverter Charger part # 34275013, you will need to have the positive terminal from the inverter run to the positive lead from battery one as mentioned above and then the negative terminal from the inverter run to the negative lead from battery two. I have attached another photo in hopes of better explaining this as well.
If you are having issues with certain appliances or lights not working then you will need to check the breakers and or fuses in your distribution panel but if this does not fix your issue then you will need to have the motorhome taken in for service.
