Troubleshooting C94FR For 2018 Chevy Equinox
Question:
I have a 2018 Chevy Equinox. I hooked up the wiring har Item # c94fr to the plug under the bumper. When I plug the trailer in the left side turn signal and brake light does not work, but the left side work. When I hook the same trailer to a different vehicle 2016 Ford Escape all the light on the trailer work fine. I am at a loss. Any suggestions.

The Curt Vehicle Wiring Harness for Factory Tow Package part # C94FR for the 2018 Chevy Equinox is the wiring for a Chevy Equinox with factory tow package so you do want to make sure that the Equinox has a factory tow package first. You also want to make sure you have the relays of the wiring harness in the k2 and k3 locations in the fuse box. If the relays are in the correct location, then you want to make sure the connector is seated fully with the wiring harness connector. Since the lights work fine on the same trailer connected to the Ford then you know the issue is with the Equinox most likely the wiring harness. You may also consider looking at the fuses for your tow package to make sure they are there especially the turn signal fuse.
I recommend making sure you have the towing package and that you have the relays in correctly. It would also help to know if the Equinox is a premier model or not.
