What is mbar Rating for RV Propane Regulators

Question:

We have been informed that a typical Lowes propane tank can be used to supply gas to one of our lab instruments at our plant. The instrument manufacturer said that the gas pressure entering the device should be no more than 50mb. Is there a regulator that can do this?

Expert Reply:

50 mbar is about twice the pressure as the regulators we offer. The mbar rating for the regulators we offer like the Camco Vertical 2-Stage Propane Regulator # CAM59313 is 27.3. The unit of measure we use is inches of water column whereas mbar stands for Millibar.

If your instrument can be used with 27.3 mbar then our regulators would work.
