Suspension Enhancement for 2016 Ford F-150 2WD With 6 Inch Lift

Question:

I have a 2016 F-150 crew 2wd with a 6” lift. Can I use SumoSprings? I only tow occasionally and never more than 6000 lbs. I do plan on adding about 300 pounds of gear in the bed bed rack, rtt, gas and water cans etc.

There is a suspension enhancement option for your 2016 Ford F-150 2WD with a 6" lift, though the SumoSprings Solo Custom Helper Springs # SSR-117-47 you asked about won't work, and the reason for that is there is too much travel for them to be able to effectively upgrade your suspension.

Instead, the best option for your lifted '16 F-150 is the RoadActive Suspension Custom Leaf Spring Enhancement Kit # RAS3611-B, so long as the factory leaf springs were not modified in any way with your lift. These are perfect for a light towing set up because it is an active system which works to continually reinforce your original leaf spring suspension. The force normally put on your F-150's current leaf springs when towing gets transferred to the RAS Enhancement Kit, allowing your leaf springs to work normally.

This means the RAS Kit # RAS3611-B will work when needed but then will disengage when they are not necessary, making them the best kit for your needs.
