I would not recommend towing your 2011 Chevrolet HHR at an angle. You will want the tow set up to be as level as possible. For your situation I would recommend using a tow bar that attaches to a ball mount like the Roadmaster StowMaster Car-Mounted Tow Bar, # RM-501, with a ball mount that has the correct drop.
I have attached an article to help you choose a ball mount with the correct drop. First you should measure from the ground to the top of the hitch receiver on your coach. Next you should measure from the ground to the center of the mounting point on the base plates on your car. The difference between those two measurements will give you the proper amount of drop you will need to tow your vehicle level.
If you need a base plate for your vehicle, then I would recommend the Roadmaster XL Base Plate Kit, # 3141-1. This base plate kit will work with the StowMaster tow bar.
I have attached an article on the overview of flat towing a vehicle that may be of some help.
