What is the difference between a 1.5 Hub female and 1.5 Hub spigot . I had the impression the Hub means female and spigot means male

The difference between the Double RV Waste Valves part # T80C and part # T80 is that the former has a 1-1/2" spigot fitting and the latter has a 1-1/2" hub fitting. They both have 3" hub fittings as well. The spigot fitting means this will slide into the pipe and the hub fitting means this will slide over the pipe. The hub fittings are more common for the valves. In order to attach either assembly you will also need the Valterra ABS Solvent Cement part # A05-0303.
