On the 7 way semi trailer adapter,which colours are positive wire and which one is negative wire?

I attached a diagram that shows a heavy duty 7-way pin out like the part # PK11700 that you referenced (diagrams on right of pic). The 12 volt circuit is normally in the center pin, and the ground is normally the top one. The colors aren't always standard on applications so best option is to determine function by pin location instead. Power MIGHT be black and ground most likely is white though.
