The Voyager Trailer Brake Controller part # 39510 in the 2003 Chevy Silverado 2500 is not meant to be hardwired. You need brake controller adapter part # 3015-P. There are not really any wires to hard wire the brake controller to in the truck. The adapter will plug into the electrical junction box on the driver's side below the dash. I have attached a helpful article for your reference.
