SumoSprings Helper Springs For 2002 Toyota Tundra

Question:

I have a 2002 Tundra, I tow a 3300 lb trailer with ~450 lb hitch weigh, I use a WD hitch but still get sag when towing. I carry around 200 lbs of gear and have a shell that weights maybe 200 lbs. I installed Helwig 1500 lb helper springs, but it still sags. Looking at the SumoSprings but trying to decide between the 1000 or 1500 lb?

Helpful Expert Reply:

If you are still experiencing sag after installing the helper leaf springs, I recommend to use the heavy duty SumoSprings Solo Custom Helper Springs part # SSR-610-47 1,500 lb capacity to help eliminate the sag. The great thing about the Sumo Springs is their porous construction allows for progressive load control which means the intensity of their compression matches the weight of the load. When your not towing they won't be stiff compared to other jounce style springs which are dense rubber and create an uncomfortable ride.
