Can Factory Brake Controller of 2009 GMC Sierra be Bypassed with Prodigy P2
Question:
Will the Tekonsha plug in wiring adapter plug into my factory brake controller harness? I have the 7-way plug. My TBCM failed and I want to install a Prodigy P2 controller

You can bypass the factory brake controller of your 2009 GMC Sierra but there isn't an install harness for your vehicle that will be used. Instead you'll have to make some connections from the wires of the P2 part # 90885 to the wiring harness under the dash of your truck. There is also a few connections under the hood that need to be made but you don't have to make a trip to a dealer to have any error codes addressed.
I attached a link to this page that will walk you through the entire process of bypassing your integrated controller with one like the P2 for you to check out as well.
