Brake Controller Install 2013 Nissan NV 3500
Question:
My Nissan has factory tow package with a 4 flat plug at the back, but my new camper has a seven spade plug with brakes. What all do I need for trailer braking and to get the 7 spade at the back.

You'll need to install a brake controller in order to actuate the brakes on your trailer. The Redarc # RED44FR you mentioned would be an excellent choice. To complete the installation, you'd need our Brake Controller Installation Kit, part # ETBC7 and an extra length of wire, part # 10-2-1. I'll link you to a help article and an installation video showing a different brake controller being installed on the vehicle. As you can see in the video, the installation is a bit time consuming but not necessarily difficult.
For an easier installation, you could use the Curt Echo # C51180 along with the # ETBC7L install kit and an extra 10 foot length of # 10-1-1 wire. Plug the adapter into the existing 4-pin, ground the white wire and extend the black wire up to the positive battery terminal, running it through the provided circuit breaker. You'd then pair the controller to your smartphone using the included instructions and you're done.
