What Position Do the Jaws Need To Be In On the Curt Q20 To Lube the Center Grease Fitting

I know where the fittings are but do no know how to position the jaws to access them with the grease gun. Please inform.

There are only three grease fittings on the Curt Q20 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch part # C16130 (see photo); one on the right side of the head, one on the left side of the head, and one directly in the center of the locking jaws inside the head. In order to access the grease fitting inside the head you will need to have the locking jaws closed. It does not matter what position the jaws are in when greasing the two side grease fittings. The position of the jaws can be changed by moving the handle on the side of the head.
