To adjust the sensitivity and force settings on the The Blue Ox Patriot Portable Braking System - Proportional part # BLU37TR you want to start with the factory settings which is sensitivity at a 9 and force at a 5. After that it does take trial and error to find the correct settings for your vehicle. If you hook the Chevy up to the motor home and test braking with it in a open area away from other vehicles and you feel the towed vehicle pressing against the motor home when you press the brakes suddenly you may need to adjust the force. If you have a smooth braking experience then the settings are correct.
You can also set the max force which can be used to set the maximum amount of force the brake will ever apply. For smaller vehicles or vehicles with more sensitive brakes this number can be lowered. For larger vehicles or vehicle's with unresponsive brakes then it needs to be higher but Blue Ox says most vehicles are okay with the factory settings.
